ImageAccording to Eonline's Ted Casablanca, American Idol David Cook celebrated his younger brother's 21st birthday in style.

Cook and brother, Andrew, celebrated along with David's current squeeze, Kimberly Caldwell, at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux.

Casablanca reports that the Cooks were living it up with bottle service in a private area, and two security-type guards.

Eonline's article went on to say that Cook sang 80's rock while Caldwell danced with friends. The two kissed throughout the night.

ImageDavid has a little chat with some kid reporters and they actually ask some good questions.  David, the pro that he is handled himself well even when the kids called him out on his dancing skills.  Kids Day Reporters have interviewed quite a lot of celebrities and sports stars and I'm sure this was David's first interview with children.  He did a great job though!

ImageAmerican Idol David Cook's name and image has helped raise more than $30,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Cancer is close to Cook's heart. His brother, Adam, suffers from brain cancer. Cook put an "AC" on his guitar during his time on American Idol in honor of his brother.

An eBay auction for David Cook autographed memorabilia ends Tuesday, June 17. A guitar on auction raised $500. Three autographed T-shirts raised about $375 each.

David Promotes while American Idol faces a lawsuit PDF Print E-mail

ImageAmerican idol is being sued by a musicians union.  The seventh season ended on a high note with a big win by David Cook but since then the union has filed a federal lawsuit against the producers of American Idol.  While David Cook rolls on with "on the prowl" interviews (is that yet another cougar reference) and good public relations for the show, American idol may have hit another PR speed bump.  The American Federation of Musicians claims the show's producers violated a collective bargaining agreement.  The lawsuit clams that the show failed to pay musicians for the rebroadcasts and they want to be paid.  It is unknown if there will be a settlement but American Idol surely would benefit from a quick end.
