Blue Springs High paints a mural in Davids honor |

 The City of Blue Springs unveiled a mural on Friday in honor of native son American Idol David Cook.
Cook is in town for the American Idols Live Tour on Friday and Saturday at the Sprint Center. Members of Cooks family attend the mural unveiling in downtown Blue Springs along Main Street. But, city officials weren't sure if Cook would be able to make it himself. Cook did, in fact, make his way to Blue Springs on Friday. He watched the unveiling with tears in his eyes. Students from Blue Springs High Schools painted the mural.
